We were excited to welcome eight participants from five different countries at our facilities in Höltinghausen, Germany.
Our training was an introductory-level course, providing theoretical background information as well as extensive practical hands-on lab work. We are happy to have received lots of positive feedback from the participants!
During our two-day training session, attendees gained insights into PCR-based veterinary diagnostics, covering the basic principles of Real-Time-PCR all the way through to data-analysis and troubleshooting.
In two hands-on sessions in the laboratory, the participants prepared the samples themselves, purified RNA and DNA and set up the PCR reactions as well. Of course, the active support of the Kylt® Team was available at all times!
In short, they are now able to use our Kylt® products to optimally suit their diagnostic needs.
It was a great opportunity to be in personal contact for all sides. This helps us at Kylt® to better assess the individual requirements and needs for support.
For the participants, of course, the exchange with colleagues from other laboratories also was a welcome change to daily laboratory routine. As this is often easier in a relaxed atmosphere with good food and beverages, we also organized social events for all participants.
For us, organizing and conducting our first training has been an exciting and labour-intensive time, but we all agree: It was definitely worth it!
We look forward to the second International Kylt® Training, again taking place in Höltinghausen, Germany on 28th February & 01st March 2018!
