The Kylt® Edwardsiella ictaluri & piscicida Kit has been developed and validated for the simultaneous detection of Edwardsiella ictaluri and Edwardsiella piscicida in samples from fish.
Edwardsiella ictaluri is the causative agent of enteric septicemia of catfish. Edwardsielle piscicida is the causative agent of Edwardsiellosis, which occurs in aquaculture worldwide.
Tissues and organs (brain, kidney), typical internal lesion (e.g. liver, spleen) as well as swab samples from these tissues, water samples and material from cultural enrichment are suitable for analysis.
The Real-Time PCR Detection Kit contains all reagents and controls for the specific detection of Edwardsiella ictaluri and Edwardsiella piscicida.
